Janome Warranty Information

Our commitment to you

Within the 6 month period from your sewing machine purchase, we are obliged to assess, diagnose and repair faults at no extra cost to you, our customer.

The machine must be free from defective parts, defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal, domestic conditions.

Janome include a warranty with all new machines; this will protect against any manufacturing faults or defects during the warranty period.
It is important to note that this is subject to the machine being used and maintained according to the provided manual.
*It is essential that you retain all original packaging – this is the only way an in-warranty return will be accepted.
*It is advisable to retain your receipt/invoice as proof of purchase.

This warranty is non-transferable should the machine be sold or given away at a later date. It is only valid for the original customer, from new.

  • How long does the warranty last?

Janome offer a 2 year standard parts and labour warranty with all new machines covering both parts and labour.
*This does not include the HD9 model, which has a 12 month warranty period.
*The two year warranty applies only to machines in normal domestic use. Machines uses for educational or commercial purposes will carry a 12 month warranty.

  • How do I register my machine warranty?

You can register your machine here on Janome’s website

Alternatively, there is a warranty registration card included with every machine. This can be filled in and sent off.

  • Can I extend my warranty?

Details of the extended warranty can be found in the box when purchasing a new machine or on Janome’s website here.

  • What is included in the warranty?
