Learn to Crochet with Steph

Would you like to get to grips with some crochet basics or find out if it's the craft for you? In this workshop, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to start your own crochet journey. This two hour workshop will unravel some mysteries, such as technical terminology, yarn types and how to get started with crochet.

You will learn:

How to hold your hook and yarn

The different types of yarn and their uses

The difference between US and UK terminology

How to chain and explore a couple of stitch types

How to fasten off a project

You will need to bring:

Nothing! A crochet starter kit will be supplied for you!

About your tutor:

Steph is a keen crafter with ten years crochet experience; she has a particular love of amigurumi, the art of making small, 3D creatures.

She has had extensive teaching experience, both with children and adults.

Steph joined the Truro Fabrics team in 2021, and you can often find her in our dressmaking and yarn departments!
