In this workshop, Siobhán will guide you through basic stitches, pattern reading, and assembly techniques to create a bat with its own personality! Learn some of the key skills used in amigurumi to create this cute crochet critter.

Ability Level: Confident Beginner and up. Suitable for ages 12 and up with accompanying adult

Course Duration: Monday 28th October - 1pm-4pm

You will learn:

- Crocheting 3D forms (amigurumi)

- How to use safety eyes/stitching eye details

- Assembling your crochet pieces into a fully formed bat

- Tips on how to give your piece unique flair and character e.g. eye placement and size

You will need to bring:

- A 3.5mm or 4mm crochet hook

About your tutor:

Hi, I’m Siobhán, owner of Cornish Selkie. I’ve been crocheting since 2019 and quickly started free handing most of my creations. In the past few years, I started to write my patterns down and now have a lovely library of characters. My patterns are based on mythology/ fantasy characters, and accessories for tabletop gaming. I’ve recently worked with the BBC to create patterns for the children's TV show Hey Duggee.
