Janome Warranty Information
Our commitment to you
Within the 6 month period from your sewing machine purchase, we are obliged to assess, diagnose and repair faults at no extra cost to you, our customer.
The machine must be free from defective parts, defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal, domestic conditions.
Janome include a warranty with all new machines; this will protect against any manufacturing faults or defects during the warranty period.
It is important to note that this is subject to the machine being used and maintained according to the provided manual.
*It is essential that you retain all original packaging – this is the only way an in-warranty return will be accepted.
*It is advisable to retain your receipt/invoice as proof of purchase.
This warranty is non-transferable should the machine be sold or given away at a later date. It is only valid for the original customer, from new.
How long does the warranty last?
Janome offer a 2 year standard parts and labour warranty with all new machines covering both parts and labour.
*This does not include the HD9 model, which has a 12 month warranty period.
*The two year warranty applies only to machines in normal domestic use. Machines uses for educational or commercial purposes will carry a 12 month warranty.
How do I register my machine warranty?

Alternatively, there is a warranty registration card included with every machine. This can be filled in and sent off.
Can I extend my warranty?
Yes! You are able to extend the standard 2 year warranty to a maximum of 5 years, by purchasing an extended warranty from Janome within 30 days from the date of purchase.
Details of the extended warranty can be found in the box when purchasing a new machine or on Janome’s website here.
What is included in the warranty?
The warranty only covers genuine manufacture faults, as per the manufacturer’s guarantee. The warranty excludes accidental damage and wear and tear. Please note that ‘consumable items’ such as belts, bulbs, needle threaders, needles, bobbin cases, bobbins, needle plates, bulbs, blades, light bulbs, tools, presser feet, embroidery frames are also excluded.
How is warranty work carried out?
If you think your machine may be faulty, please contact us here at Truro Fabrics first, as we may be able to assist and help solve any issues you may be having.
We would prefer to save you time and money by diagnosing and fixing problems here, ensuring you’re not out of pocket and you don’t have to be without your sewing machine for a period of time!
If, following our assessment you still believe your machine to be faulty, we will contact Janome and endeavour to find a relevant solution.
*sewing machines sent back to us must be in their original packaging.
*courier delivery to us is to be arranged by the customer, Truro Fabrics Ltd are not liable for return delivery costs.
* We strongly advise that courier insurance is taken out. Truro Fabrics Ltd cannot be held liable for machines that arrive to us damaged.
