Pack of 10 assorted Jersey Ballpoint sewing machine needles, compatible with all types of domestic, household sewing machines.

This assortment includes: 4 x 70/10, 4 x 80/12, 2 x 90/14.

The ballpoint tip of these speciality needles is designed to push through your jersey knit fabric without damaging the fibres or causing ladders. 

Size 70/10 for light to medium weight jersey knit fabrics: Pointelle, Lightweight Viscose & Bamboo Jersey, Veilling.

Size 80/12 for stitching on medium weight jersey knit fabrics: T-Shirt Weight Jersey, Lightweight Boiled Wool, Terry Towelling, Tulle. 

Size 90/14 for stitching on medium to heavyweight jersey knit fabrics: Sweatshirt Fleece, Scuba Jersey, Ponte Roma, Boucle, Boiled Wool, Terry Towelling.

Choosing the right size needle for your project is crucial for a smooth, professional finish. Using a needle that is too thick will create a large hole in your fabric, and choosing one that is too small increases the risk of bending or snapping when sewing. The goal is to have the needle slide easily through the fabric without damaging the fibres, and to carry the thread smoothly without causing damage to your project. Typically needle sizes range from 60/8 (the finest) to 120/19 (the largest). We recommend to replace your needle after 8 hours of use and at the beginning of each project. Replacing your machine needle is the easiest way to improve stitch quality!
