Workshop & Studio Policy

We are so excited to welcome you to The Studio at Truro Fabrics, our creative community space!

A learning hub for workshops, classes, clubs, and events. Working with local tutors and creatives, we are constantly expanding our programme of offerings and revel in watching the sewing and crafting community grow.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that all workshops & events are paid in full at the time of booking.

In the event that you need to cancel your workshop booking, we ask that you give at least two weeks’ notice.

Workshop fees are only refundable if the place is able to be resold and a £10 administration fee will be charged.

Places cancelled in less than two weeks prior to the workshop date are non-refundable.

If you cancel less than two weeks before your workshop date but are able send a lucky friend in your place, no fee will be charged.

In this case, please ensure all details of the new attendee are confirmed with The Studio at Truro Fabrics.

All our classes need a minimum number of attendees to be able to run. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low attendance, tutor illness, or unavoidable emergency. We will give you as much notice as possible and your place can be deferred or a refund issued.

Workshop FAQ

Where are our workshops held?

Our dedicated studio space is located opposite our city centre store in Truro city centre.

Can I book private tuition?

Some of our classes and workshops can be run as a private session for a higher fee. If you’d like to enquire about this, please email [email protected].

Can I shop in store during my workshop?

If you’re attending an event or workshop in The Studio during our opening hours (Mon – Fri | 9am – 5.30pm) then yes you can!

Is The Studio an accessible space?

Our studio is on the ground floor and spacious, however there is currently no disabled bathroom in that building. This is something we are working on! If you have any questions about accessibility, please email us at [email protected].

Covid Policy

Here at Truro Fabrics, we’re dedicated to keeping everyone safe and comfortable in our shop and studio space.

Throughout the pandemic we have followed government guidelines and put in procedures to limit risk to our customers.

We have a spacious studio that allows for appropriate distancing and ask that guests consider face shields or coverings when in close contact with tutors.

All communal equipment will be cleaned and sanitised between each workshop.
