Folkwear - PDF Sewing Pattern - 219 Intimacies

Create a collection of elegant lingerie inspired by the styles of the 1920s and 1930s with Folkwear's 219 Intimacies sewing pattern. This pattern includes four designs: a camisole, tap pants, a bias-cut teddy and a bias slip, each with its own distinctive details.

The Camisole has a straight silhouette with a button fastening at the centre front. A ribbon threaded through a self-fabric casing draws in the neckline above the bust, while a second casing at the waist allows you to adjust the fit.

The Tap Pants sit low on the waist, fitting smoothly over the hips before flaring gently from the fullest point. They fasten with snaps at the side plackets and have simply bound edges.

The Teddy is cut on the bias for a close-fitting but comfortable shape. Shaped facings finish the top, while small buttoned inserts join the front and back at the crotch gusset. The Bias Slip extends the same flattering bias-cut silhouette to mid-knee length.

The pattern also includes optional instructions for crocheted shoulder straps and a beaded top edge on the camisole, adding a decorative finish to your handmade lingerie.

Choose lightweight, soft fabrics such as silk, cotton or rayon. Crepe, challis, batiste, voile and satin are all suitable options.
