Folkwear - PDF Sewing Pattern - 243 Rodeo Cowgirl Skirt

Bring a little Western flair to your wardrobe with the Folkwear 243 Rodeo Cowgirl Skirt sewing pattern. This flared A-line skirt has a shaped waistline, front and back darts, a waist facing and a mid-calf length. Choose between two views, with six different hip yoke shapes to customise your design.

View A features a shaped hem appliqué, while View B has a swishy hem flounce and hip or pocket yoke. You can choose a zip fastening or make a statement with the lace-up back closing.

There are plenty of ways to make this pattern your own. Add fringe, embroidery, studs or appliqué patches, or combine complementary and contrasting fabrics across the yokes and hem details. You can also leave off the yokes and hem treatments altogether for a simpler A-line skirt.

Try denim, cotton or linen for everyday wear, or experiment with suede, leather, lace and lightweight to medium-weight silk. With so many options for the details and finish, you can create anything from a pared-back skirt to a full-on cowgirl statement piece.
