The Closet Core Azure Dress, Skirt & Top PDF Sewing Pattern is like having an entire summer wardrobe in one pattern. With five interchangeable views, you can sew two dresses, two skirts and a sleeveless top, making Azure perfect for creating a handmade capsule wardrobe from your favourite woven fabrics.

The semi-fitted bodice features a classic jewel neckline, back button fastening and the choice of a fully lined bodice or an all-in-one facing. The standout feature is the beautifully designed skirt, made from alternating diagonal gathered panels that create movement without overwhelming the silhouette.

Choose from a midi dress with two tiers, a flowing maxi dress with three tiers, a cropped sleeveless top, or midi and maxi skirts with a comfortable elasticated back waistband. Whether you sew each piece separately or mix and match them together, Azure offers plenty of opportunities to create versatile outfits from one PDF sewing pattern.

Suitable for beginners, this pattern is ideal for lightweight woven fabrics including linen, cotton poplin, chambray and viscose, allowing you to create everything from relaxed everyday outfits to elegant holiday dresses.

As a digital sewing pattern, your files are available to download instantly after purchase. Layered A0, A4 and projector files let you print only the size you need, whether you print at home, use a copy shop or sew with a projector.

The Azure pattern is designed for lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics. Choose a fabric with structure for a more defined silhouette, or opt for a drapey fabric to create soft movement through the gathered skirt panels.

  • Linen
  • Cotton poplin
  • Cotton voile
  • Batiste
  • Chambray
  • Double gauze
  • Shirting cotton
  • Viscose
  • Rayon challis
  • TENCEL™ twill
  • Silk crepe de chine

Linen and cotton poplin create crisp, structured garments, while viscose, rayon and TENCEL™ produce a softer drape that's ideal for flowing dresses and skirts.

To complete the Azure Dress, Skirt & Top you will need:

  • Lightweight fusible interfacing
  • ½ yd (0.5m) interfacing for sizes 0–20
  • ¾ yd (0.7m) interfacing for sizes 14–32
  • Small ½" (12mm) button
  • Matching thread
  • Marking tool

Note: Interfacing is not required if you choose to fully line the bodice.
