The Wardrobe By Me Boxy Shirt PDF Sewing Pattern is a modern take on the classic button-up shirt, combining an oversized, relaxed silhouette with plenty of options to customise the finished garment. Designed for sizes 0–24 / 30–54, it’s a versatile boxy shirt sewing pattern for creating an easy-to-wear casual shirt with your choice of lengths, sleeves, hem and pocket details.
The shirt features a classic collar with a collar stand and a traditional front button placket. Exaggerated drop shoulders add to the relaxed shape, while the oversized fit keeps the finished shirt comfortable and casual.
There are several ways to customise your shirt. Choose between a cropped or extended body length, then select either a straight or rounded hem. For the sleeves, make oversized long sleeves with faux cuffs or opt for short Dolman-style sleeves. Two pocket sizes are also included, giving you the option of a more subtle pocket or an extra-large statement pocket.
The pattern is designed for lightweight woven fabrics, including cotton voile, linen, poplin and chambray.
With an intermediate skill level, the Boxy Shirt is suited to sewists with some experience. For accurate home printing, measure the test square on the first pattern page and check that it measures 2 x 2 in / 5 x 5 cm. Print the A4 or Letter version using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
