Make a statement piece for your winter wardrobe with the Wardrobe By Me Cocoon Coat PDF Sewing Pattern. This women’s coat has an oversized, sculptural silhouette, a below-knee length and a fully lined construction.

The design features raglan sleeves, a classic shawl collar, generous front patch pockets and a two-button front closure. A curved seam across the back yoke adds shape to the coat’s distinctive silhouette.

Choose a medium to heavyweight woven coating fabric, such as 100% wool or a wool blend, to give the coat structure. You will also need a lining in a soft, slippery woven fabric, such as viscose or polyester, and fusible interfacing suitable for coating fabrics.

Rated Advanced (4/4), this is a more involved sewing project for experienced sewists. Expect plenty of pressing throughout construction, along with a small amount of hand sewing to achieve a clean finish. The fully illustrated, 22-page instructions guide you through each stage, with metric and imperial measurements included.

The layered PDF pattern allows you to print only your required size. Files are supplied for home printing on A4 or US Letter paper, A0 copy-shop printing and projector use. Trimless pages make assembling the home-printed pattern more straightforward, and seam allowances are included.
