Cotton Poplin Fabric - Cornish Hunting Tartan 4cm

Cornish hunting tartan with a smaller check in pure cotton. This lightweight, yarn dyed cotton poplin fabric is the perfect weight for shirts and blouses, dresses, skirts and many crafts and interiors projects.

This tartan has a 4cm repeat.

The Hunting Tartan variation was introduced in 1984 as a darker variation of the Cornish National Tartan, designed by Sandra Redwood. It was created to offer a more subdued and practical option for kilts, aligning with the muted tones often associated with hunting tartans in general. Perfect for formal occasions, such as wedding attire.

This design weaves together rich symbolism: black and gold for Cornwall's ancient kings, red representing the Cornish chough, and blue symbolizing the surrounding seas. This fabric brings a touch of Cornish heritage to every me-made.
