Make your own swimwear with the Paradise Patterns Cowrie Kini PDF sewing pattern. Inspired by the shape of a cowrie shell, this bikini includes two different top styles and French-cut bottoms with medium coverage. Choose between mid-rise and high-rise waist options to create a fit that suits you.

View A has a flat-front bikini top finished with fold-over elastic (FOE) around the edges and a G-hook fastening at the back. The pattern also includes a shoulder strap finished with swim elastic.

View B has a tie-front top with self-facing construction. This creates a clean, seamless-looking finish, with the main fabric and lining enclosed together so the seams are hidden.

Both top styles can be paired with either the mid-rise or high-rise bikini bottoms. The instructions teach you how to sew swimwear using a regular home sewing machine, so you don't need an overlocker, and cover two different methods for finishing bikini edges.

Choose a four-way stretch swimwear or activewear fabric containing at least 15% elastane for the stretch and recovery needed. With two top designs and two waist heights, the Cowrie Kini gives you plenty of options for making a bikini that feels like your own.
