The Forager Pants PDF sewing pattern by Brightside Fabric Co. is designed for relaxed, everyday trousers inspired by classic workwear. With a comfortable mid-rise, straight leg and ankle-length hem, they make a practical addition to your handmade wardrobe.

Choose between two views. View A features double front panels with knee darts for a utility-inspired look, while View Bhas a plain front for a simpler finish. Both views share the same relaxed fit, making it easy to create a pair suited to your style.

Fabric choice will shape the finished look. Use a sturdy 7–10oz canvas, twill or denim for hard-wearing trousers with a traditional workwear feel. For a softer drape, try midweight linen, a linen blend or ramie.

The pattern is available in sizes XXS–5X and is rated Confident Beginner. Detailed instructions and clear illustrations guide you through each stage, including techniques such as sewing knee darts and creating a faux fly.

The PDF pattern includes layered Letter and A4 files, an A0 printshop file and a separate projector file, so you can choose the format that suits your sewing setup.
