Wardrobe By Me - PDF Sewing Pattern - Heavy Shirt
The Wardrobe By Me Heavy Shirt PDF Sewing Pattern is a classic menswear overshirt sewing pattern designed for a roomy, comfortable fit. Inspired by traditional workwear, it combines practical construction with timeless details, making it a versatile layer for everyday wardrobes.
The Heavy Shirt features a two-piece collar, button placket and functional chest pockets with large button flaps. Dropped shoulders give the shirt a relaxed feel, while the two-piece sleeves provide a comfortable fit around the arms. The sleeves are finished with cuffs, and the gently curved hem adds a polished finish.
Crisp topstitching highlights the seams and construction details, enhancing the workwear character of the finished garment. Choose hard-wearing woven fabrics such as flannel, corduroy, denim, twill or canvas for a traditional overshirt, or use wool as suggested by Wardrobe By Me.
The pattern is available in sizes 2XS–4XL. The sample shown is a size L, worn by a model who is 180 cm tall.
With a skill level of 2/4, this pattern is suitable for sewists with some experience. The project provides an opportunity to learn how to construct a two-piece sleeve, cuffs and banded collar, with detailed illustrated instructions accompanying each step. Wardrobe By Me also provides a YouTube sew-along video for additional guidance.
This colour digital PDF sewing pattern includes layers for each size, so you can select the sizes you need, along with trimless pages for easier assembly. The pattern is supplied in A4 and Letter formats across 35 pages, an A0 printshop format across 2 pages, and a separate colour projector file.
