The Paradise Patterns x Lyrical Fabrics Honeygirl Lounge Set is a comfortable two-piece sewing pattern designed specifically for cotton pointelle and low-stretch rib knits. It combines a fitted camisole with relaxed, elasticated-waist bottoms, giving you a matching set that's comfortable enough for lounging and sleeping.
The camisole has two neckline options. View A features delicate ruching at the bust, inspired by the camisoles worn as children, while View B has a classic scoop neckline. Both styles have a fitted shape, 1.2cm-wide bands and a choice of cropped or hip-length hems. You can also add optional scalloped detailing around the neckline or a decorative bow at the front.
The bottoms sit at your natural waist with a gathered waistband and plenty of ease. Choose between shorts with a slightly curved tulip hem or full-length trousers with a straight hem. The waistband uses 2cm-wide elastic, with optional buttonholes and a drawstring if you prefer an adjustable finish.
The camisole is designed for knits with low stretch recovery, particularly cotton pointelle, cotton double knits and rib knits containing less than 4% spandex. The relaxed bottoms are more versatile and can be made in lightweight woven or knitted fabrics.
The instructions also explain how to handle pointelle fabric, create professional double-fold neckbands and sew knit fabrics using a regular home sewing machine.
Please note: When first worn, the finished Honeygirl set may feel tighter than intended. The fabric needs time to relax into its intended fit, usually around an hour.

For the camisole
Choose a knit fabric with low stretch recovery and less than 4% spandex. This pattern is designed specifically for cotton pointelle and similar knits.
- Cotton pointelle
- Cotton double knit
- Low-stretch rib knit
Avoid high-spandex knits, as they are not suitable for the fitted camisole design.
For the shorts and trousers
The relaxed bottoms work with a wider range of lightweight knitted and woven fabrics with good drape. Choose fabrics weighing less than 6 oz/sq yard (205gsm), such as:
- Cotton jersey
- Cotton voile
- Viscose
- Silk
- Matching thread
- Ballpoint needle
- 2cm-wide knitted elastic
- Optional decorative bow for the front neckline
- Optional drawstring
- Tear-away interfacing or a small piece of woven fabric for making buttonholes
