Paradise Patterns - PDF Sewing Pattern - Humla Romper

The Paradise Patterns Humla Romper is a relaxed, airy summer outfit with the appearance of a short dress and the comfort of built-in shorts. Designed with generous ease, it's an easy-to-wear style for warm weather, with plenty of room to move. The adjustable fit also makes it suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The pattern includes three views:

View A is the full romper, with an elasticated upper bust channel for an adaptable fit. You can add optional in-seam French seam pockets for a practical finish.

View B is the top version, offering the same relaxed style without the shorts.

View C is the optional low-support bralette, designed to provide a little extra coverage and security. It can also hold breastfeeding pads in place. The bralette includes an optional bust dart to reduce excess fabric and bulk when worn on its own.

For a simpler, beginner-friendly project, you can leave out the pockets and bralette. The instructions also introduce useful sewing techniques, including French seams, French seam pockets, elastic channels and turning narrow straps.

Choose a woven fabric to suit the finish you want. Midweight linen gives a relaxed feel, seersucker is ideal for summer, cotton poplin creates a crisp, billowy shape, while rayon and Tencel offer a softer drape.
