The Maéli Paris Camille PDF Sewing Pattern is a high-waisted trousers and shorts pattern with a relaxed, wide-leg silhouette and distinctive button-front fastening. Designed to be worn throughout the year, Camille includes two versions: full-length trousers and shorts, making it a versatile addition to your handmade wardrobe.

The trousers have a loose, wide-leg cut with subtly flared legs for a fluid shape. A visible button placket adds a distinctive detail, while the carefully constructed front pockets give the design extra interest. There are four pockets in total: two front pockets with inset detailing and two patch pockets at the back.

Construction involves making the button placket, topstitching and assembling all four pockets. You can finish the hems in the traditional way or choose an optional frayed finish. The pattern is rated 3/5 for sewing difficulty, making it an intermediate-level project, and is available in EU sizes 34–52.

For the main fabric, choose a medium to heavyweight woven fabric, such as denim or twill. The designer recommends a fabric with 5–30% stretch and a maximum of 4% elastane.

The PDF pattern includes A4 and A0 print files, an A4 assembly plan and an illustrated step-by-step guide.

  • 5 buttons, 18–22 mm diameter
  • 20 cm medium-weight fusible interfacing

  • Sizes 34–42: 185 cm
  • Sizes 44–48: 230 cm
  • Sizes 50–52: 250 cm

Version 2: Shorts

Main fabric, 140 cm wide:

  • Sizes 34–42: 80 cm
  • Sizes 44–48: 90 cm
  • Sizes 50–52: 100 cm

Seam allowances are included in the pattern. The hem can be finished traditionally or left with an optional frayed finish.
