Fehr Trade - PDF Sewing Pattern - Lightspeed Leggings

The Lightspeed Leggings sewing pattern for men from Fehr Trade is designed for active men who want to sew their own close-fitting workout leggings or biker shorts. The pattern features a roomy front pouch, elasticated waistband and a rear panel with an optional zipped pocket for storing small essentials.

The one-piece leg has no side seams, making it particularly well suited to bold or directional prints without interrupting the design. Choose between full-length leggings or biker shorts, making this a versatile pattern for year-round activewear, base layers or underwear.

The biker short hem finishes approximately 8cm (3in) above the knee.

The basic leggings and shorts require Beginner-level sewing skills, although some experience working with stretch knits is recommended. The optional zipped pocket requires Intermediate-level sewing skills.

The pattern is drafted with negative ease, so the finished garment is designed to fit very close to the body. Stretch jersey with at least 50% stretch in both directions and good recovery is essential.

The pattern includes 1cm seam allowances throughout, except at the waistband edge where a 4cm allowance is included for the elastic. A 2cm hem allowance is also included, along with diagrams showing how to make common fit adjustments.
