Linen Cotton Fabric - Midnight Koi

This fabric has a trick up its sleeve. At first glance it reads as a jacquard weave, with intricate koi carp appearing to be woven directly into the cloth. The reality is even more interesting. It's a clever overprint on an oxford weave ground - where the koi appear, the print is removed to reveal the overdyed weave beneath, creating that striking tonal contrast against the deep navy background. The overall effect is genuinely impressive and gives the fabric a real depth and sophistication.

It's a 55% linen, 45% cotton oxford weave with a soft, smooth finish and good body without feeling stiff. The natural, slightly textured hand is characteristic of a quality linen cotton blend. Originally produced for a designer collection and available in limited quantities, it's a real one-off.

The structured weight makes it well suited to tailored and semi-tailored makes. Trousers, a simple blazer or a structured shirt would all be excellent choices, as would a midi skirt or an unlined jacket.
