The April Blouse by NH Patterns is a versatile paper sewing pattern for a relaxed smock-style blouse with 3/4 length sleeves, a gathered peplum and multiple bodice and sleeve variations. Easy to wear and simple to style, it’s the perfect project for building a handmade wardrobe full of comfortable everyday pieces.

Designed for light to medium weight woven fabrics with little to no stretch, this blouse sewing pattern works beautifully in fabrics with soft drape such as cotton lawn, chambray, lightweight linen, linen blends, tencel and viscose/rayon fabrics.

This independent sewing pattern is suitable for advanced beginners to intermediate sewists. While the majority of the construction is beginner-friendly, the pattern includes techniques such as bias binding and pleat details that make it a great skill-building project for confident beginners looking to grow their sewing skills.

Available in UK sizes 4-32 across two size ranges: UK 4-18 and UK 16-32.

Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate

 

This pattern has been designed for light-medium weight woven fabric with little to no stretch. We recommend something with a nice drape and nothing too heavy. Lightweight cottons, cotton chambray, lighter weight linen and linen blends, tencel, rayon/viscose and rayon/viscose blends would all work well for this top.
