Organic Washed Cotton Mini Gingham Fabric - Orchid

Soft pale purple and white mini gingham, Orchid has a fresh, softly muted colour palette that works beautifully across an everyday handmade wardrobe. The organic cotton has a cosy, substantial handle similar to a fine cotton flannel, without the brushed surface, and remains breathable enough to wear comfortably across the seasons.

The classic 5mm check is woven from dyed threads rather than printed, giving the purple a lovely depth and making the fabric look just as good on the reverse. A gently washed, crinkled finish adds subtle texture and gives it that relaxed, lived-in feel straight from the roll, while the weight gives your finished garments plenty of substance.

We'd make this into a relaxed shirt, gathered dress, wide-leg trousers or an easy pinafore. It would also make a brilliant oversized overshirt or lightweight chore jacket for a little extra colour in your wardrobe.
