Organic Washed Cotton Mini Gingham Fabric - Strawberry

A classic red and white mini gingham with a wonderfully soft, substantial handle, Strawberry is cheerful without feeling overly sweet. The organic cotton feels similar to a fine cotton flannel in the hand, without the brushed surface, giving you a cosy feel while staying breathable enough for year-round sewing.

The traditional 5mm check is woven from dyed threads rather than printed, giving the red a rich, even tone and making the fabric look just as good on both sides. A gently washed, crinkled finish adds relaxed texture and gives it that lovely lived-in feel from the start.

We'd make Strawberry into a relaxed button-down shirt, gathered midi dress or wide-leg trousers, or keep things simple with an easy pinafore. It would also make a brilliant overshirt when you want a bit of colour and pattern without reaching for a bold print.
