Organic Washed Cotton Mini Gingham Fabric - Shell

Soft pale pink and white mini gingham, Shell has an easy, everyday feel with just enough colour to make a handmade garment feel special. The organic cotton is cosy and substantial in the hand, with a handle reminiscent of a fine cotton flannel, but without the brushed surface. It's breathable too, so you're not limited to using it for cooler-weather sewing.

The classic 5mm check is woven from dyed threads, giving the pink and white a lovely depth and a beautifully even finish on both sides. A gentle washed and crinkled finish adds subtle texture and gives the fabric that relaxed, already-loved feel.

We'd make Shell into an oversized shirt, relaxed dress or wide-leg trousers. It's also a lovely choice for children's clothing when you want something soft and comfortable!
