Organic Washed Cotton Jumbo Gingham Fabric - Grape

Grape is a rich purple and white jumbo gingham with a generous 27mm check that makes a real feature of the classic pattern. The deeper purple gives this colourway a confident, slightly dramatic feel, while the washed finish keeps it relaxed and easy to wear.

Made from organic cotton, it has a cosy, substantial handle similar to a fine cotton flannel, without the brushed surface. It remains breathable enough for year-round wear, and the gently washed, crinkled finish gives the fabric lovely texture straight from the roll.

The check is woven from dyed threads rather than printed, giving the purple plenty of depth and making both sides look equally good. We’d make Grape into a statement shirt, gathered midi dress, wide-leg trousers or oversized pinafore. It would also be brilliant for a boxy chore jacket or overshirt.
