Challis (pronounced "shal-ee") has all the wonderful natural properties of wool, but in the most incredibly soft, lightweight form imaginable. This fabric is so smooth and fine that many people are genuinely amazed to discover it's 100% wool. There's absolutely no scratchiness, no itchiness, no need to layer anything underneath. Instead, you get fabric that drapes like silk but with wool's natural breathability and temperature regulation.
