Quilted Cotton Chambray Fabric - Stars

A little bit cowboy, a little bit classic kidswear, and very easy to sew. This deadstock fabric is lightweight quilted chambray has a blue 100% cotton outer scattered with small white stars, giving it a fun Western-inspired feel without going full rodeo.

The thin layer of polyester wadding adds just enough warmth and structure for a light coat or jacket, while the smooth polyester lining means your finished garment will be comfortable to slip on and off. The quilting is already done for you, so there's no need to wrestle three separate layers under your machine.

We can particularly see this making a brilliant kids' coat, but don't overlook it for grown-ups. A simple quilted jacket, cropped jacket or gilet would make a great transitional layer when you want something warmer than a shirt but lighter than a proper winter coat.
