This 100% cotton seersucker from Sevenberry is covered in charmingly detailed nautical motifs, from sailing ships and anchors to lighthouses and ship’s wheels, all picked out in navy blue against a crisp white background. The seersucker texture gives the fabric a naturally puckered surface, adding subtle texture while keeping it lightweight and airy.
We’d make this into a relaxed summer shirt, loose blouse, gathered dress or easy pull-on shorts, and it would be particularly good for holiday makes and warm-weather wardrobes. The illustrative print has plenty to look at without becoming too busy, so it works beautifully on simple sewing patterns that let the fabric take centre stage.
