It’s ideal for both hand and machine sewing—simply wind it onto the bobbin and let your sewing machine do the magic! With 20 metres per roll, you’ll have plenty to experiment with, making it perfect for dressmaking, kids’ clothes, and creative embellishments.

Hints & Tips for Machine Shirring:
Use in the Bobbin: Hand-wind the shirring elastic onto your bobbin without stretching it, then load it into your machine as usual.
Loosen Your Tension: Reduce your upper thread tension slightly to allow the elastic to gather the fabric evenly.
Longer Stitch Length: Set your stitch length to around 3-4mm for the best shirring effect.
Steam for Extra Gather: After sewing, lightly steam the fabric with an iron (without pressing down) to tighten up the gathers.
