Our National Cornish Tartan is a traditional 16oz kilt weight wool twill with the substantial handle and structure you want from a true kilt-weight cloth. At 16oz, this is a heavyweight wool designed to hold its shape, making it ideal for garments and projects where you want substance, warmth and a beautifully robust finish. Naturally, it’s perfect for kilts, but don’t stop there.
We’d use it for tailored skirts, structured jackets, coats, waistcoats and statement accessories, or bring the tartan into home projects with cushions and other hard-wearing pieces. The twill weave gives the cloth its distinctive diagonal texture and adds to its durability. A proper Cornish classic, made for something worth keeping.
