Our heavyweight Utility Canvas is a no-nonsense fabric that means business. With a classic Panama weave structure, made from a 50% cotton, 50% polyester blend, this is the kind of cloth that gets better with every wash and wear.

At 440gsm it has genuine weight and substance, the sort of satisfying heft that tells you something is built to last. It holds its shape beautifully, presses crisp, and has just enough give in the weave to be a pleasure to sew. The Panama construction gives a subtle texture that catches the light differently depending on conditions, and the colours; all developed with an earthy, botanical spirit in mind - are the kind of muted, considered tones that never feel trendy and never go out of style.

This is the fabric for things that are made to be used. Heavy chore jackets, tote bag,  work aprons, sturdy utility vests. It's too substantial for most tailored trousers, but perfect for workwear and utility applications.
