The Wardrobe By Me Wilderness Pants PDF Sewing Pattern is a practical menswear sewing pattern for making comfortable, roomy trousers designed with plenty of useful pocket space. With a choice of details, you can sew hard-wearing cargo-style trousers or leave out the additional pockets and reinforcements for a cleaner, more streamlined pair.
The Wilderness Pants feature slanted front pockets, two back patch pockets and oversized side leg pockets with flap closures. Optional reinforcing patches can be added to the knees and back seat area, while the pockets can also be reinforced for extra durability. A straight waistband with six belt loops completes the design.
The pattern is designed for waist sizes 26–42 and uses a front zipper. The comfortable, roomy fit makes these trousers particularly well suited to practical everyday wear and robust fabrics.
For a traditional workwear or cargo look, choose canvas or denim. Other suitable woven fabrics include cotton, linen, rip-stop and other traditional pant-weight fabrics. Use interfacing appropriate to the weight of your chosen fabric, with woven cotton recommended for the pocket lining.
