Seersucker Classic Gingham Fabric – Parma Violet

A nostalgic sweet-shop classic in gingham form, Parma Violet brings together soft lavender and pale pink in an 8mm gingham check. The larger check lets the two delicate colours really shine, while the subtle seersucker texture gives the fabric a gently puckered surface with plenty of tactile interest.

Despite its pretty appearance, this is a wonderfully practical fabric to sew with, lightweight and floaty without being flimsy, with an airy handle that works beautifully for gathered and voluminous styles. We'd make a romantic summer dress with puff sleeves, a relaxed blouse or an oversized shirt. It would be equally lovely for children'swear, particularly simple dresses, little shirts and matching sets.

The comfortable feel of the cotton blend makes it lovely to wear, while OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificationmakes it a great choice for clothing worn close to the skin.
